As the CEO of Nexus Energy Partners, Ben Lusher leads the strategic vision and operational execution of the company, ensuring its continued success in the highly competitive energy sector. Under Mr. Lusher’s leadership, the company has strengthened its position as a pure-play non-op company in Oklahoma and embarked on significant initiatives to diversify into alternative energy sources, demonstrating a commitment to sustainable growth and innovation.

With a proven track record of driving business development and operational efficiency, Mr. Lusher oversees a portfolio of diverse assets, including extensive non-operated working interests and mineral holdings in Oklahoma. Mr. Lusher and his team have expertly navigated the complexities of the energy market, fostering strong partnerships and securing key deals that have enhanced the company’s asset base and financial performance.

Mr. Lusher joined Nexus Energy Partners in 2014, first serving as director of Business Development and going on to serve in other roles, including Chief Strategy Officer. During his tenure, he successfully completed over 50 deals, significantly expanding the company’s holdings from 1,500 net acres in 2015 to over 13,000 net acres by the end of 2023.

 

Earlier in his career, Ben spent four years with the Office of Governor Bill Ritter, Jr., serving as the Senior Policy Advisor for Economic Development. In this role, he was instrumental in formulating economic policy and strategy, leading the creation of over twenty pieces of legislation, which resulted in the creation of over 6,000 new jobs and $400 million in direct capital investment.

 

Ben holds an MBA with Distinction from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, where he graduated Phi Kappa Phi. He also earned a Master of Public Policy from the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy and a Bachelor of Arts in American Culture from the University of Michigan.

 

Ben was named 40 Under 40 Winner by the Denver Business Journal in 2022. He is the current Chair of the Board of JEWISHcolorado and the immediate past National Chair of Moishe House. He is a former Board chair of the Colorado Jewish Community Relations Council and previously served as an Advisory Board member at HCA Rose Hospital in Denver, Colorado. Ben is an alumnus of the Anti-Defamation League’s Robert B. Sturm Mountain States Leadership Fellows Program and is currently a Wexner Heritage Program fellow.
