Ellen Heywood joined Nexus Energy Partners in 2026 and serves as Corporate Controller, overseeing all accounting functions, including revenue, joint interest billing (JIB), accounts payable, treasury, and financial reporting. In this role, she is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial operations and reporting.

Ellen has more than 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, working with both private and public companies. Before joining Nexus Energy Partners, she served as Controller at Impact Exploration and Production, a private upstream operator with assets in Wyoming, where she managed all accounting functions.

Earlier in her career, Ellen held SEC and financial reporting roles at several companies, most notably High Point Resources (formerly Bill Barrett Corporation), a public upstream operator focused in Colorado’s DJ Basin, where she spent approximately 15 years. She began her career in public accounting with KPMG LLP in the audit practice.

Ellen earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, with a concentration in Accounting.
