Matt Barnard currently serves as Chief Financial Officer for Nexus Energy Partners. In this role, Matt is responsible for all aspects of the financial and accounting functions of the company. As a member of the executive leadership team, Matt is responsible for the execution of Nexus’ strategic goals.

Before joining Nexus Energy Partners, Matt was the Managing Director at Nadel and Gussman Ventures, managing direct investments in energy and non-energy companies. Prior to Nadel & Gussman, Matt was the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer for Casillas Petroleum Resource Partners I & II where he was responsible for all financial and accounting functions of the company and led the executive leadership team. Before his management roles at Casillas, Matt was a senior financial analyst in the corporate planning group at Unit Corporation. His responsibilities included risk management, long term financial planning, mergers and acquisitions and capital market transactions.

Matt earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Stetson University with a degree in electronic business technology and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Tulsa with a concentration in finance.
